  • Hope for Schools - Prayer Event

    Wednesday 19 November - 7pm at Rising Brook Methodist Church
    This evening is a great opportunity to pray for the schools in our area;

    • for staff, pupils and others working voluntarily in schools
      for current issues in education
    • for organisations such as Kerygma, Question Mark and MSYN
    • for the growth of good relationships between churches and their local schools.

    There will also be the opportunity to see the results of the MSYN church/schools audit and have an overview of all the great things that are currently going on in and around Stafford.

  • SHCT Annual Ride & Stride

    STAFFORDSHIRE HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST

    ANNUAL RIDE AND STRIDE
    Saturday 13 September

    Welcome to the Annual Sponsored Cycle Ride and Stride.  The Trust exists to assist with repairs to Staffordshire Churches of all denominations through the giving of grants.  These have enabled churches to make emergency repairs thus preventing further deterioration of the buildings.
    Half the money raised goes to the Trust, and half is returned to our church for our own upkeep.
    This year we intend walking round Lichfield, visiting as many as we can from the list of churches participating.  (Transport to and from Lichfield, leaving Church Car Park at 10.00, back by 5.00 at the very latest, will be provided).  Please consider joining the walk, and obtaining as many sponsors as you can.   If you don't feel like walking, then please sponsor those who are walking, or join the team who are "manning" Castle Church for people visiting US.  Please contact David or Gill Ashton (664877) if you are prepared to participate in any way whatsoever.

  • Wednesday 9 July 2008 Primary School Working in Church

    On Wednesday 9 July, members of Year 5 at Castlechurch Primary School are coming to spend a day working in our church building. They will be doing all kinds of different activities. They will arrive at about 9.30am. It would be good if, throughout the morning and afternoon we could have a few members of the church family on hand if needed. This would involve directing people to the toilets, offering drinks to war weary teachers and generally answering any questions. There would be no need to stay all morning or afternoon but if we could have at least one person on hand all the time for maybe a half hour slot then that would be great. If you can help, then please sign up for a slot on the sheet at the back. Bookmark and Share
